Family Ice Skating Fun

 We went ice skating at the World Arena and the kids did really good.  It was a lot like roller skating, which they all enjoy, but a little slicker.

 Brea insisted on holding someones hand, but by the end she did venture out on her own and did great.

 Alyssa wants to do anything her older siblings are doing, even if that means a few bumps and bruises.

 She didn't last too long though, and they had free hot chocolate and apple cider which was really nice.

Christmas 2014

 We started with just our little artificial tree that we got when we were first married.  Then...we decided to get a "real" tree in the woods . Luckily we have a high ceiling, it was perfect.

 We always enjoy caroling to the widows and this year they were all together for Family Home Evening.  Sister Campbell set up the widows group, they get together often and are there for one another.  Brea shared her poem she memorized this year "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and we sang a few songs to them, but they are like Grandmas to our kids, I think they do more for us then we ever do for them.

 On Christmas Eve we did a tour at Dions Pizza.  It was really great, the kids got activity books, t-shirts and a tour of the kitchen including crust tossing (a new skill the kids want to learn).

 The much anticipated one present to open on Christmas Eve.  They were so excited.

 Jackies Christams gift, she loves it and now we have an in-home photographer!

 Jeralin made the blue Elsa dress, which was a cherished Christmas gift this year.  She is amazing with a pair of knitting needles.

 Our traditional trombone musical night on Christmas Eve. 

 The caterpillars metamorphosed into Butterflies on Christmas Eve!  The kids got to hold them and love them.  They named each of them.

Of course we saved time for the nativity, which is the reason for all this celebration.

"My Son Pinnochio

 Jackie, Dallin, & Brea had an amazing opportunity to perform in "My Son Pinnochio" with the Pikes Peak Centerstange.  Jackie was the Purple Fairy, a rust-about, and a child.  Dallin was a child, and a perfect child (Pinnochio #2), and Brea was a child, a perfect-child, and a marionette.  They did a great job and learned many valuable life skills.

 The crew on the last performance.  Their good friends Katie and Johnnie Stull were Gepetto and Pinocchio, they did great.  It was fun to watch them from start to finish.

 Jackie made new friends with the girls her age and loved applying wild make-up!
