Jump Creek and games

We did a nice short hike to jump creek.  It is a popular place, there were a lot more people than I expected.  It was really picturesque and the water was refreshing.

We found a little cave with some much needed shade to eat our lunch

Cute cousin time!

We were both exhausted!  He fell asleep on me as I sat our on the bench on the front deck.

The quarter game!  I remember learning this game when I was dating Jeff.  His Mom and Gaylene came to visit and we played it with my family.  It has been one of our favorites.

This is were Peter slept!  He loved his little bed and went right to bed every night without too much complaining and didn't get out!

4th of July fun in Boise

We were able to make it to Boise in the late afternoon.  We rented a house on VRBO and it was really wonderful.  It had plenty of space to eat and play and sleep.  The best part was the pool in the back yard.  They also had a play structure in the back yard that Peter called the "park".  This is Ephraim and Owen looking longingly outside at the pool.  We had to lock the door to keep them safe.

Gaylene and Owen enjoying a great dinner.  Kelly did steak that was delcious and we had watermelon and salad and cobbler.  Fun times, good food, great people!

Lots of hours were spent in this pool!

Kelly brought a bunch of fireworks and the kids really enjoyed doing them.  It was nice to have the house and the space to do them and plenty of room for everyone.

4th of July fun in Preston/Logan

We drove to Idaho on the 3rd of July.  We decided to stay the night in Preston so we could visit Grandma Jensen.  We were able to get to Logan that evening for the firework show at Utah State.  My uncle Jared was putting it on and he did a fabulous job!  We just found a spot on a hill near the stadium and enjoyed a great show.

On the 4th of July we saw a fun parade in Lewiston, ID with tons of candy for the kids.  I loved seeing all the floats and dance teams and marching bands.  I am glad we could go.

After the parade we stopped in to see Grandma.  She was doing so good.  Her memory was outstanding and we had a good visit with her.  We were also able to stop at LuJeans store and it is always fun to look around at all the neat crafts and vendor booths there.

Vending Route

Our children are lucky to have a Dad that has a warehouse full of Vending Machines.  Jackie and Dallin both have a job! Jackie has two machines (one at an electrical school and one at a diposal business headquarters).  Dallin has one at our local pool just down the street from us.  Jackie is 15 and Dallin 13, it is hard to find a job at those ages, so this is great!

Surprise Wisconsin Trip

Brea, Ephraim, and I flew to Wisconsin to surprise Isabelle!  It was so exciting Brea and I were really looking forward to it - and we were not disappointed.  Amy got a big box and put it in Isabelles room. Brea climbed in the box and we closed it, taped it and put a big bow on top.  Amy told Isabelle that she had a surprise for her in her room.  She came up and hesitantly opened it up (she later told us she thought it might be a hedgehog).  Surprise!  Brea popped out and then fell over!  They had so much fun together and I am so glad we made it happen.
