Halloween 2018 INCREDIBLES

Misc Williamsburg

 While some of us were at DC - Dallin, Brea, and Alyssa went to Williamsburg with Grandma and Grandpa.  Dallin found this huge "worlds best chocolate" in a candy store and convinced Brea to go in with him to get it for ME!  I have the sweetest kids.  It was delicious!

The girls loved this Yankee Candle store that was in downtown Williamsburg.  It was huge and had this beautiful starry night bridge.

Alyssa even got to see Santa at the Yankee store.  He had a big list of 'Nauty & Nice' and he found Alyssa on the NICE list!

Even the outside of the store was decked out, just perfect for some Cramer girl photo shoots.

Dallin found a costume to wear to Butch Gardens. Yikes!

On the way to the Denver airport we found out our flight was delayed so we stopped at our favorite park in Denver.  Jeff found a beautiful spot with a great view!

Washington DC

Our oldest and youngest, they are the only ones that got to enjoy Washington DC.  It was also the first time for Jeff and I as well as for Elly and Garen.  Sweet siblings!

Our first stop was at the Lincoln Memorial.  A great man that did much good for our nation.

We walked all the way around this water.  Jackie was able to hold the Washington Memorial in her hand.

 The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial was huge!  He did make a huge impact on American and especially black rights.

 Jackie loved looking around Washington DC.  She really enjoys American History.  She has a fondness for Franklin D. Roosevelt.  They had a lot of statues and quotes from his reign.

Eleanor Roosevelt was not only the 1st Lady to President Franklin D. Roosevelt but was also the 1st  United States Delegate to the United Nations (the 1st not 1st Lady Delegate, but 1st!)

 Garen & Jeff carried the stroller up and down a lot of stairs!

Thomas Jefferson Memorial.  I loved his quotes. They were all around the inside of Memorial.  He reverenced God many times.

Washington Memorial in background.  We are at the WWII Memorial, it was beautiful with fountains and memorials all around.

 Holocaust Museum.  We really rushed through it.  It was huge and free.  There was a neat area about the perspective from a little Jewish boy.

We ate a picnic right outside of the Federal Reserve Building.

Virginia Beach

We spent a day at Virginia Beach.  It was not too crowded and for us Coloradoans the water felt great, even in October.  The beach is so relaxing!  Even Ephraim chilled for a few minutes.

 The girls and I did a little shopping.

Williamsburg

 For Fall Break 2018 we flew into Washington DC airport and drove 3 hours to Williamsburg, VA.  We met my parents and Elly & Garen there and stayed in my parents time share.  It was such a fun and educational trip.  It was wonderful to spend it with not just our immediate family, but also with Grandparents and the fave Elly & Garen.  We did miss our Peter though.  We decided to let him stay home with the other Grandma and Grandpa.  Helen & Calvin drove from Idaho to spend the week with Peter, and we were very appreciative of their kindness.  Helen even got Peter potty trained!

This is at Yorktown.  We saw remnents of settlements there, both of the indians and the early Americans and saw the boats coming in.

Brea really enjoyed the indian village.  This is a turtle shell shield.

We saw the small quarters on the boats.  Jeff is laying in one of the nicer bunks, for the Captain!

We made these cute Halloween people and decorated the condo with them.  The kids helped a little but they were more interested in swimming in the pool.

We rode this bus around Williamsburg, and would just bring the whole stroller on.  Grandpa kept Ephraim happy the whole ride.

The inside of the homes were fully furnished in period furniture with guides in period clothing to tell us all about the town and people.  Even the yards were kept up and it was neat to see.  This is a garden in the back yard of a home.

 Jackie and I (and Ephraim) did Williamsburg one day just the two of us, everyone else went to Butch Gardens.  It was a rainy day but we had a great time and saw a lot.  We ate in one of the taverns on this beautiful china and it was authentic food to the era.
