Fountain Nature Center
We have a beautiful nature center close to our house that we go to often. There lots of different trails throughout and lakes, ponds, and waterfalls. We always see some kind of wildlife and the kids think it is the best adventure. We took my family there while they were visiting.
Brea and Grandpa. We seem to always get some good shots of our kids with Grandpa, so we had to keep up the tradition. Look at that big smile, she was happy to have Grandma and Grandpa here.
The kids always like to get up close and friendly with nature. In fact tonight Jeff was cleaning some fish our neighbor caught today and shared with us. The kids were very excited to help Daddy cut open some fish. Jackie especially, she was touching them and asking if she could keep the head as a toy! We of course explained why she could not. They were fascinated, although Brea enjoyed watching without touching, she is going to be my girly girl I think.
They found some logs to play on, usually it is a tree to climb so this was much better.
I told Jackie to get all the kids on the log for a picture, everyone got on except Elly (because she thought she was an adult). Jackie yelled "wait, Elly isn't one she's a kid too, come on Elly". What a good Aunt, she hoped on for the kids picture. Dallin is doing his, I am going to frown because you are asking me to smile face. It was hard for him to hold that frown, in fact we would have had a great smile if we took it a few seconds later.

Womens Conference
I got to attend Women's Conference at BYU with my Mom again this year. I was looking forward to it all year. It was so wonderful to be at BYU with so many other women of my faith and especially with my Mom. We dormed together with my Aunt and her friend and two other ladies we met there. All the speakers were so wonderful and I really felt how important my role as a Mother is and what a responsibility that is. I hope I can remember the feelings and thoughts that came to improve my life. The picture below is my Mom and I making stockings during the service night. It is amazing how much service gets done. The other picture is the snow we walked through the 2nd day, luckily we all had umbrellas. I actually wasn't too cold and the snow all melted by that afternoon.
Catch up
I have been lacking in my blogging lately. We have done a lot since Easter, but I just haven't gotten around to posting much. I am in the last few weeks of my pregnancy, and am glad that summer is here and I can stay at home with my kids. Jackie finished Kindergarten today, it went so fast. She was a great student and loved school. I never had to hound her about homework, and yes she had homework in Kindergarten every day. She made new friends, and learned a ton in the 9 months she was there. She is reading quite well and has learned cursive, which actually looks really good for a six year old. She is looking forward to next year when she can go, ALL DAY, what a good attitude - keep that up! Dallin finished preschool and had a fun time. Whenever I asked what they did he would tell me what they had for snack and that was about it. He is as excited about school as Jackie, but he did have a good time and was a very good student. He is more of a home boy and would rather just stay home and play all day. He will start Kindergarten next year. We are excited for the summer and time to relax and welcome our new little one. Here are some random pictures of what we have been up to.
Brea found Jackie goggles and thought they were the pretty neat. She wore them outside while she played for quite a while.
We went up to the temple in Denver and took all the kids. Jeff and I each did a session and kept the kids, so it was a long day. They loved being at the temple and walking around the grounds.
This is a fountain in front of the temple.
Dallin is our creative kiddo. He was so excited to show me that he could talk into the straw and hear what he was saying. He is always making something and Mom and Dad are usually the lucky recipient of his work. He has a very tender heart and enjoys making things for others.
This is one of my best yard sale finds. I look forward to summer weekends and yard sales. This is a little bench where the seat lifts up so you can store things inside. We have put our shoes there. Now we have a nice place to keep our shoes and a bench to sit on to put them on. There is also a mirror above it, you can only see the edge of it in this picture. It was also a yard sale treasure I got a few years back.
