Dallin ordained as Deacon & receives Faith in God award

This was a special day for Dallin.  Now that he is 12 years old and worthy, he is able to hold the priesthood!  He was ordained by his Dad.
He also received his Faith in God award.

Sister Kaye came in to watch the ordination.  Dallin helps her with her bags every sunday, but we get so much more from Sister Kaye.  She has been all of our kids Sunbeam teacher and has such love for them.  She also gives us bags of snacks/food/toys every Sunday.  We have told her she does not need to but she loves it and loves us.
The Deacons quorum came in to welcome Dallin and escort him to class.

Dallins 12th Birthday

Dallin got a cool new bike for his 12th Birthday.  He rides his bike to school everyday and his was small and falling apart.  He was very excited and went off on a bike ride with Dad and Jackie to Dairy Queen!  He almost made it there, but then his tire POPPED and Mom had to come to the rescue.  A quick trip to Walmart and a handy Dad, the bike was good as new.

While they were on their bike ride Alyssa tried Roller blades for the first time.  She thought they would be way harder than roller skates, but she was surprised to find it was actually easier.
I love this kid!  We took Dallin out to breakfast on his birthday, it was his reward for getting his Faith in God.  He had never eaten at IHOP and devoured a mug of hot cocoa and some strawberry, nutella, bannana crepes.

Our mornings our rushed, all the kids leave at 7am for school.  But Jackie was able to give Dallin a very nice card with some gum and a Dairy Queen gift card before school.  We did the rest of his presents after school.

First year of Apple Tree fun

We have a beautiful apple tree in the back yard.  This is the first time that it has produced, and it produced well!  We spent a Saturday in August making applesauce, canning apples dices, and apple pie.  Our kitchen smelled good all day, and we were exhausted by that night.

Denver Family Trip

I took Jackie and Grace and Makaela to the Denver temple on Thursday.  Jeff helped out with the kids at home, and I took Peter with me.  They did baptisms and then I dropped them off at Ikea with Amelia and her kids.  Jackie watched Peter there while I did initiatory.  It was a great day.  Those girls are so sweet and just had a good time.  Then I took Jackie shopping and Jeff drove the kids up.  We went out to dinner at Casa Banitas.
 Waiting in line....
and waiting....but it was worth it
We stayed the night at a motel and the next morning, after we walked with Peter, Jeff did initiatory at the temple.  I packed up the room with the kids and the plan was to go to Elitch Gardens when he got back.  We were all in the van ready to go, and I looked up the weather.  There was a 50% chance of rain, so I half-kidding told the kids we could just stay in Denver and go shopping at the mall.  To my surprise, they all loved that idea.  So we ended up getting Krispie-Kreme doughnuts, going to the "fun park" where they played tag with Dad, and then shopping.  Dallin and Dad got bored of shopping pretty fast so they went to a tramploine park and test drove a van.

Alyssa spent he money on a build-a-bear.  It was really fun and she loves her Katarinia Bear.
Jackie was so sweet helping her every step along the way.  Jackie made one when she was younger with a gift card from Mary, so she knew how fun it was.
This was Peters position for many hours of the day, poor kid, but he did really well and took a nap there too.

Breas 10th Birthday

The early morning hot & cold birthday present hide and seek.
She got a camera!  It has a waterproof case for going under water, she was pretty excited.
She got to go to her gymnastic class on her birthday!
Food and Friends, a perfect party.
Craft time, this is a must for Brea, she loves crafts.  The girls made bracelets and painted boxes with glow in the dark paint.

Hannah, Abby, Maelyn, Rose, Alyssa, and Brea showing off their crafts.

They had a fun time using glow sticks while they played capture the flag in the dark.

Peters First Haircut

Look at those long strands.  I didn't realize how long it really was until I combed it strait with water.

Ahh, handsome big boy, now we can have another baby.
This is about 7 months with baby #6!
