Brea's Baptism

Grandma and Grandpa Pirtle traveled out to Colorado to be there for the special occasion of Brea getting baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  She had looked forward to this day for a long time and knew the decision she wanted to make - to be baptized.  She had a beautiful glow about her all day.
To make it even more special, her cousin Hannah was able to spend the weekend with her as well.  They are very close cousins and it was neat for her to have Hannah there.
Some fun before church.  Garen, Christian, and Dallin play a round of marbles.  Dallin is glad for our wood floor.  He keeps this marble game pad (taped circle) hidden under the living room rug.
A large family dinner after the baptism.  Brent and Gaylene, Jackie, Hannah, Brea, Alyssa, Elly and Garen.  It was wonderful to have our home full of so many family memers, thank you all for coming.
The other table at dinner. Granpa Calvin and Grandma, Christian, Dallin and Grandma and Grandpa Ricks.  We planned her baptisms in between two family reuions to make it easier on family traveling.  It was so fun to have both sides of the family come to Colorado this year.

Brea wanted to have her Grandpa baptize her.  He is a pretty special guy and I am glad that he was able to perform such an important ordinance for my precious daughter.
