Rock climbing with Stulls

The boys climbed up, before we even got to the rocks to actually climb.  They had a great time together.

The girls were happy to just play, but they did climb some.  Friends are wonderful.

Dallin climbing up the face of the rock, he really enjoys climbing even thought the height scares him, he keeps going and trying.  He is a persistent kid.

Brea did great! You can see both Dads  as Brea and Dallin climb together.

And they go higher and higher.  That was high enough for Brea, which is fantastic!  Dallin made it to the rock sticking out at the top, and Jackie made it over the rock and to the tippy top.  She was hesitant, but with encouragement and will power she did it!   Rock climbing has many great analogies to life - stay anchored to a sure foundation, keep rising higher even when it gets tough, the view at the top is worth it, don't give up, if you fall just hang on and keep going up.

These two have been friends since they were just tiny girls, it is fun to see them blossom into youth and to see that friendship blossom as well.

Jeff showed the kids how to start a fire with a magnifying glass...and to they amazement, it worked!  They had a tiny flame and a little smoke to show for it.  That kept them busy and entertained for several hours after.
