Spur of the moment trip to the outer banks NC

I got up early and walked along the beach with my parents and Ephraim while the other kids slept.  There were so many neat shells on the ground.  It was fun to collect them.

We decided last minute that I would take a few of the kids and fly to NC to enjoy the weekend at the outer banks with my parents.  It was so fun and I am glad we went.

My pirate kiddos, aren't they cute!  The place my parents were at had large panoramic windows that looked out right onto the coast, it was amazing.

We spent a couple of hours at the site of the Wright Brothers take-off.  There is a model airplane that is the actual size and shape that the kids could play on.  We flew a kite and it was a great spot for kite flying!

We went to an aquarium and they had the screen when we first came in.  The screen showed all of us but then different sea animals would come across, or swim across us.  Peter was so fun to watch as the animals came right up to him.

We went back to Apex to my parent's apartment and attended church with them.  We were able to see the temple, under construction, that my Dad is working on.  My Dad even gave Alyssa a piece of white granite from the temple which she loved.  That evening we played games and ate Grandpas delicious popcorn and cookies.  The kids enjoyed trying on his hard hat, even Jackie!
