We did have one short flurry of a snowfall in December. It did not last long as the sun came out and melted it. But
Brea did get all dressed up, in her jacket, to go play in the snow.

Dad and Jackie and
Dallin went to the wood and found a beautiful tree. This is the first time that the tree actually fit in our vaulted ceiling living room. Usually we get it too tall and end up having to cut some off, but this one fit perfect. It is always fun decorating the tree and the memories that come from placing the ornaments on.

Everyone took turns using the ladder/step stool, as it was highly fought over.

We got to visit Santa and Mrs. Clause.
Brea was very excited, Alyssa did not even realize whose lap she was on but she was fine to sit there anyway.
Dallin was clinging to Dads leg. He got shy on us at the last minute. But later on in the month we had another opportunity to see Santa and he slowly as able to get on his lap.

Jackie got to see Santa earlier than the other kids because she had a dance performance. She waited in line about an hour with shear determination. It was worth the wait.
We made lots and lots of goodies this year. We decorated sugar cookies and dipped pretzels in chocolate. The kids loved using sprinkles on everything, and lots of them. It is a good thing that Christmas comes at the end of the year, so that right after I can set my resolution of eating better AGAIN. But there is just something about homemade goodies that make Christmas time all the sweeter.
