The Sand Dunes were beautiful! The kids loved the freedom and the parents loved being able to see them from all around. There was one point when
Dallin kept running, in the opposite direction, all the other kids came back. He eventually made it to us, luckily he could see us up on a hill in the distance. He was pretty worn out and sank to the ground (dramatically) when he arrived. It was a good natural consequences, he had to walk by himself all the way back to us.
Dallin and Noelani were "buddies" which meant they were supposed to stay together. It worked at the very beginning and the very end. But they were cute when they were together.

Alyssa had the comfort of riding on Dads back. It seems like every trip we go on, we have a child in one of these.

The family enjoying the sand. Except for
Brea, she kept saying that her eyes were stinging, because something was poking them and she did not like it.

Our gorgeous Jackie. We got all the kids these awesome shirts from our local nature center. They say "No Child Left Inside" . That is very much our family motto.

Jeff was the official child
burier. They loved it. In fact Billy got buried all the way,
including his face. All you could see was a tiny bit of hair sticking up out of the dirt. He zipped his jacket up over his face so he wouldn't get sand in his face when he got buried.

We let Alyssa out of her carrier to explore the sand. She kept touching it and surprisingly wasn't eating it (she eats EVERYTHING). Well, touching only lasted so long, she did eventually stick it in her mouth, but she did not enjoy the taste or texture or something, because it came right out.

Dad and Alyssa playing on top of the hill as the kids rolled and rolled and rolled down.

We gave all the kids a "buddy" to stay with at the sand dunes. It worked for the older kids, but not so well for the younger. We had them all line up, holding hands with their buddy before we headed out.
