We took a beautiful hike up to a frozen waterfall the last day we were in Alamosa. Jeff took this view from the top.

The kids did great on the ice, Dallin helped me so I wouldn't' slide, my shoes had no traction at all. Jeff had Alyssa in the backpack, which worried me, but he did great as well.
Kids and nature is a great combination!
