The week of Christmas Alyssa had surgery on her right thumb. She had what is called "trigger finger" where her thumb wouldn't got all the way straight. We didn't think it was a big deal, but when we showed her pediatrician she said that if we didn't fix it now it would get more painful over time and more bent to the point that she couldn't even use it. So we did the surgery, and she came out with a cast all the way up her arm. She is the first Cramer, out of all 6 of us, that has had a cast. It was exciting the first day, then not so fun when she couldn't do a lot of things. Everyone signed it in different colored sharpie and it was only on for a week, so not bad at all.
It was an exciting day takig off the cast. It was alittle tender and still had the stitches in, so Alyssa was very careful with it that next week. She now has the stitches out and it seems to be healing nicely.
