Getting our Christmas Tree

We have a family tradition of going out into the woods to get our Christmas Tree.  This is the first year, in a while, that we have all gong together.  Usually Mom stays home with the younger kids.  But they were all big enough to go this year.  We brought our warm snow gear and a jug of hot cocoa for afterwards.  We were all excited at first.  It was beautiful up in the mountains and the snow was falling.  But that beauty turned cold after being in it for 45 minutes.  Jackie and Dad said they could get the tree, so I headed back with the younger three.  We were pretty frozen.  We got in the truck, turned it on and drank our hot cocoa.  About a1/2 hour later Dad and Jackie returned with a huge tree.  We have a raised ceiling in our living room and our tree always reaches the top.  Jackie was determined to find the perfect tree and they did great.
That was hit, time to head home.  Well, with the snow falling and lots of traffic, there were lots of wrecks up in those mountain roads.  We ended up waiting in a line of cars for about three hours.  We kept busy by playing games together, playing in the snow next to the truck, Dad made phone calls, and Dallin preteneded to drive the druck WILD!  Eventually we did make it home.  We missed a baptism that we wanted to attend, but we made it back safe.  I didn't really take a picture of the tree but here is one with Alyssa in front of it showing off her present.
