Dallins hair cut

Dallin doesn't enjoy getting his hair cut, but he also doesn't enjoy getting it wet and combing it in the mornings.  We were able to corral him into a chair for a hair cut the other night.  He told Dad that he wanted stripes in his hair.  So Jeff, made three stripes!

We were all laughing and Dallin ran upstairs to check it out.  He came back down and exclaimed, "I love it, thanks Dad".  We did not expect that reaction.  We tried to explain to him that we could not leave it like that.  Jeff told him that the kids at school would make fun of him and that it wasn't a normal way to have your hair. He insisted that we leave it.  Finally, Jeff agreed to let him wear it to school one day, but he was shaving it the next night.
When I picked Dallin up at school the next day Mrs. Nieves mentioned something about guessing that this was a one day thing we allowed Dallin to do (yep, she hit it right on).  She said there was a note in his folder.  I didn't realize that "wild/Extreme" hair was against the uniform policy.  So Dallin had a uniform violation and had to fix it by the next day.  I felt bad that he kind of got in trouble for it, but it was nice to have some more authority to say that we had to cut it all the way off.  He now has a normal "buzz" and is ready for summer.
