We had a great trip to Alabama. It was hard to leave, but luckily we had some fun stops on the way home to look forward to. We stopped a couple of Science Centers/Discovery Centers. They were a lot of fun. In fact at one Dallin rode a bike on a high wire. He was really excited, but afterward he said it was a lot scarier than it looked. He made it all the way across and back. Unfortunately, Dad missed it because he had our van in a shop trying to get the AC fixed. Ya, that was not pleasant to have the AC go out at noon in the middle of Kansas in the middle of July - HOT! So Jeff worked on that while we played, and then we still ended up driving all night to get home because they were not able to fix it that day. It was a fun trip and good memories!
We did the pool the day our AC was out and it felt so good. There were water slides that each of the kids were able to do and us grown ups. It was a fun pool, we wish we lived closer because we would return.I did get a few shots in some museums, but not too many. We were having so much fun I didn't think about it. The Discover Center in Springfield, MO was amazing. I was very impressed. Not only is it quite large, but it is also staffed well. We had people showing us and telling us about all sorts of need things that we would not have realized on our own. Everything was hands on, and the kids had a great time learning!
In Little Rock, AR there is a really nice park downtown that is in honor of President Clinton. They had cool tunnels the kids could go through and pop out a different location. A big slide down a slope and a splash pad. It is right next to the river with a big bridge you can walk across, which we enjoyed.
