Ice Sculptures

My friend Eleanor told me about these Ice Sculptures in Cripple Creek.  We decided to check them out.  Dallin especially enjoyed it, he was amazed and in awe the whole time.  It was neat to see what they could make out of a block of ice. We even saw some people working on them while we were there.
 Batman in ICE.
This was an ice house that we all walked through. It has walls, windows and doorways - amazing.
The flintstones car in ice, much easier than using your feet.
Even a chair for if you need an icy rest.
There were a bunch of characters along the way.  Alyssa was hesitant at first, but she warmed up to them and smiled for a picture.
Alyssa got tired of walking, no worry, big brother Dallin to the rescue.  He carried her on his back up hill most the way back to the car.
Our photogenic 6 year old, she wanted a picture by everything.  I didn't get a picture of it ,but I think Jeff did, but there was an ice slide the kids got to slide down . They did it multiple times and Alyssa was able to slide down as well.
You can't see them very well, but I made Alyssa some recycled wool sweater mittens on the way up. They were lined with fleece, so they were super warm.  My handiwork is not the best, thus no close up, but they were warm and she absolutely loved them. In fact Dallin and Brea both asked for a pair as well.  Just so you know Jackie went as well, but she went with the Rolfes so I have no pictures of her.
